In Faith Out There

St Luke's Maidenhead

St Luke's Church community worships in an attractive, mid-Victorian building which is near the centre of Maidenhead. We are an inclusive, broad church community. Our worship is varied and interesting in style, ranging from specially devised service around themes such as 'Global Warming' and 'Conversations with God', to set liturgies from Common Worship and the Book of Common Prayer. Our Sunday Eucharist is the focus at 10am each week, using selected material from Common Worship, and, on the first Sunday of each month, including baptisms and involving children and young people.

Our choir and musicians enrich our worship with motets and anthems, and offer a full Choral Evensong each term.

We seek to serve our diverse parish in many ways, offering a venue for community events, and providing a Toddler Group and monthly Teas for the elderly.

We also promote and host many concerts and recitals which attract good audiences.

Our aim is to be 'In Faith Out There', with a spirit of adventure and risk, sometimes pushing the boundaries, and bringing issues of faith and belief to bear on our daily lives, outside of the confines of the walls of the church itself.

Many who come find our church a place of comfort, resource and challenge for their lives. We offer a welcome to all who wish to share this journey of faith with us.
