Between Windows 1 and 2, on a
brass plate, is the following inscription: “TO THE
GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF GEORGE BROWN HANNAFORD,
BANKER AND MEMBER OF THE CHOIR OF THE CHURCH WHO DIED
APRIL 23rd 1873 AGED 46 YEARS THESE WINDOWS
ARE DEDICATED”.

Across both lights: Honour thy
father and thy mother. On a brass under the
window: To the glory of God and to the memory of John
Brown who died December 9th 1874 and of
Eleanor Brown his wife who died January 15th
1870. This window is inserted by their
affectionate son John Brown of Altwood in this county.

the Baptist (Hardman 1877)
On a brass under the window: To
the honour and glory of God and as a thank offering to
him for the work of the Rev. William Brassey Hole in the
erection of this church, the organisation of the parish
and his loving care for souls, the glass in this window
is inserted by members of the congregation and other
affectionate friends A.D. 1877.
