St Luke's Community Hall

St Luke's Community Hall, which is adjacent to the church, just across St Luke's Road, is a large hall maintained to a very high standard and complete with fully equipped kitchen. An ongoing programme of development includes the recent completion of a new entrance lobby and the addition of a toilet for use by disabled people. 

Features:-

  • Accommodation: Main Hall with opening doors to smaller Rear Hall. Accommodates maximum of 80 people seated.

  • Adjoining kitchen with serving hatch

  • Adjoining male & female toilets; separate disabled person’s toilet

  • Part hardwood parquet block floor ideal for dancing

  • Piano

  • Free use of tables & chairs

Large Main Hall

Ideal for:-

  • Parties - Weddings, Anniversaries, Baptisms, Children’s Birthdays

  • Public Meetings

  • Social - Lectures, bridge clubs, quiz evenings, jumble sales, club/association meetings, drama/music rehearsal

  • Commercial - Music/Dancing/Ballet lessons, Aerobics, Keep Fit

 

Lettings Charges - 2009

Standard Rate

£13.50 per hour, with a minimum charge of £22.00

Special Rates

Jumble Sale  (afternoon set-up, 7.00pm sale, and clear away afterwards): £25.00

Children’s Parties (3 hours) £40.00 -extra hour £13.50

These rates include use of Hall, Rear Hall, Toilets, Heating, Lighting, Kitchen and caretaking services.

The Hall is managed by the Trustees of St Luke's Community Hall who are independent of St Luke's Parochial Church Council, and it operates in a similar way to a village hall.
