Church and Parish Centre Lettings

We are pleased to be able to offer the use of the church and the integral Parish Centre to the wider community, at competitive lettings charges. At present the church is used for instrumental lessons, while the Parish Centre hosts regular meetings of Maidenhead Chess Club, Toddler Music Groups, Civic Society Committee Meetings, Cats Protection League Meetings, and many others.

St Luke’s Church

This fine Victorian church has become popular as a venue for concerts and recitals, drawing large audiences.

Features:-

• Seating for about 250

• Raised, carpeted, dais in front of the chancel arch screen forms ideal platform for performers

• Fine three-manual Hill pipe organ

• Boston grand piano

• Comprehensive sound reinforcement system suitable for both speech and singing, with range of wired and radio microphone systems

• Modern lighting system with ability to light just the performance area

• Wheelchair access to the main body of the church

Lettings Charges - 2011

Hire of Church & Parish Centre for Concerts, etc: £270.00. Rate includes access from 2.00pm through to 11.00pm and includes heating.

In addition, if the organ or piano are required, an additional fee of £35.00 is payable. This fee includes piano tuning.

Hire of church for schools services, concerts, etc: £134.00. Rate includes heating.

St Luke’s Parish Centre

The Parish Centre was created to serve the church and the community in 1993 as a rebuilding project following the arson attack on the church in 1991. It consists of an entrance lobby to the "tower door" (separate from that to the church proper), meeting room, kitchen and two toilets, including one for disabled persons.

• Adjoining unisex & disabled person’s toilet

• Flexible lighting

• Free use of tables & chairs

Ideal for:-

• Parties - Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baptisms and other family gatherings

• Social - Lectures, bridge clubs, quiz evenings, club/association meetings

• Commercial - After-school clubs, Slimming Groups, Ante-Natal Classes, Music tuition

It is also often used as a performers’ dressing room when the church is let for concerts.

Lettings Charges - 2011

Standard rate, per hour  £11.00. Rate includes heating and lighting.
